Why We Built This Site
North Carolina does not place every kind of criminal record in one public database. Guilford County Sheriff's Office holds incident, booking, detention, and criminal-process records. The Clerk of Superior Court maintains filed cases in both Greensboro and High Point. A person reviewing their own fingerprint-supported statewide history must use the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation's mailed Right to Review process. Corrections and registry records sit in still other state systems. We organized verified portals, request methods, office details, fees, and access limits so those distinct sources are easier to tell apart.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: where to reach Guilford County Sheriff's Office, both clerk locations, and the relevant North Carolina systems
- Record guides: how to search and read a Guilford County court case, arrest entry, or registry profile
- Official review steps: how SBI Right to Review differs from a certified single-county clerk search
- Expunction information: where North Carolina forms and Guilford County filing routes can be found
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of Guilford County, the North Carolina Judicial Branch, the Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. Those boundaries limit what the site can provide:
- We cannot provide legal advice about a Guilford County charge, warrant, disposition, or expunction
- We cannot issue a certified case file, SBI history, booking record, or registry document
- We cannot submit a court petition, public-record request, or correction form for a reader
- We cannot perform an official background check or retrieve a person's criminal record
- We cannot promise that an agency's hours, fees, address, or procedure has not changed
An official record must come from its custodian, such as Guilford County Sheriff's Office, the Clerk of Superior Court, or the North Carolina SBI.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes shown on some pages. Each provider controls its own service, prices, data practices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee for this site, which supports public access to the reference material. We neither set the provider's charges nor decide which records its service returns.
